Your Role as an LPN/LVN
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) at Aveanna, you will play a vital role in delivering and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your compassionate approach will help us achieve outstanding clinical outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
* Continuously observe and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the supervisor or physician.
* Document all activities and nursing actions promptly.
* Participate in the development and updating of nursing care plans.
* Implement appropriate nursing actions based on assessments.
* Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques.
* Maintain compliance with Aveanna policies and the Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
* Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in your state of practice.
* Current CPR certification (Aveanna can assist with this post-hire).
* TB skin test (current within the last 12 months).
* Six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred, but not required.
* Reliable transportation is a must.
Additional Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
* Proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.
* State-specific experience requirements may apply (e.g., pediatrics in South Carolina).
Physical and Environmental Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking.
* Must be able to function in various environments, including potential exposure to allergens and infectious diseases.
