Accounts Assistant
📍Location: Office-based, St Helens
🕘 Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
🌴 Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays
We're seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant to join a friendly manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional experience and a keen eye for detail to contribute to a busy and varied finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the rebate process (in excess of £5 million annually)
* Post bank transactions accurately and efficiently
* Perform high-volume balance sheet reconciliations
* Provide cover and support across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
* Document and improve finance processes
* Analyse freight costs and provide insights
* Support ad hoc finance tasks as required
* Work with RBS Invoice Finance
Systems Used:
* Navision
* Biztrack
* Excel
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a similar finance role
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
