Job Overview We are recruiting an experienced and security-cleared Traffic Marshal to work on a high-security nuclear construction project. The successful candidate will play a key role in safely directing vehicle and plant movements, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and nuclear security regulations. Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card, BPSS clearance, and Nuclear Security Clearance (SC or CTC), or be eligible to obtain these prior to starting work. Key Responsibilities * Safely direct the movement of vehicles, delivery lorries, and heavy plant on and off-site in accordance with traffic management plans. * Maintain clear and safe access routes around the site and manage gate operations as required. * Communicate effectively with plant operators, drivers, and site management to prevent accidents and delays. * Ensure all deliveries are logged and directed to correct unloading areas. * Monitor vehicle compliance, including documentation and PPE requirements before entry. * Assist with pedestrian safety, segregating walkways, and maintaining exclusion zones. * Support emergency access and evacuation procedures when required. * Follow strict nuclear site safety and security rules, reporting any suspicious activity or unauthorised access attempts immediately. * Maintain professionalism and represent the site positively when dealing with contractors, visitors, and deliveries. Requirements * Valid CSCS Card – essential. * Traffic Marshal / Banksman Certificate – essential. * BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance – essential. * Nuclear Security Clearance (SC or CTC) – required or ability to obtain prior to starting. * Proven experience as a Traffic Marshal or Vehicle Banksman on large construction or infrastructure projects. * Strong awareness of site traffic management, health & safety regulations, and risk assessment principles. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Punctual, alert, and capable of working independently in a high-security environment. Additional Information * All candidates must complete security vetting, medical assessment, and site induction prior to access. * Full PPE and additional training will be provided. * Working Hours: [Insert shift pattern, e.g. Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm
