Hours per week: 22.5 Monday – Friday, 9:00-17:00 – Flexible hours available

Summary of what the candidate must have to apply
* CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) essential
* Previous HR experience handling employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management or performance matters
* Strong HR administration and recruitment experience
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
* Experience maintaining HR systems, ideally iTrent or similar
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to obtain a Basic DBS clearance
The role
We are recruiting for an HR Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to a busy Human Resources team. You will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, HR systems administration and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring records are maintained accurately and HR services are delivered efficiently.
Key accountabilities
* Managing recruitment campaigns from advert to offer
* Coordinating interviews and candidate communications
* Completing pre-employment checks including references, DBS and right to work
* Producing contracts, offer letters and HR documentation
* Maintaining employee records on the HR system
* Supporting HR casework, including disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes
* Taking notes at formal HR meetings where required
* Providing advice and support to managers and employees
* Helping ensure HR processes remain compliant and accurate
Requirements/key criteria
Essential
* CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent HR qualification
* Previous experience supporting HR casework and employee relations matters
* Experience delivering a comprehensive HR or administrative support service
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Desirable
* Experience using iTrent or a similar HR system
* Recruitment and onboarding administration experience
* Minute-taking experience for formal HR meetings
* Experience working within a public sector or complex organisational environment
