Overview
This position will be predominantly based at Dr Gray’s hospital in Elgin but may include time spent in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and hospitals across NHS Grampian.
Responsibilities
An opportunity exists for an experienced Sonographer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team of Radiographers who contribute to the provision of ultrasound services in Grampian.
You will have attained previous experience since gaining your formal qualification in medical ultrasound and have advanced skills within specific areas of medical ultrasound or attained a higher postgraduate qualification.
You will be expected to fully participate in all ultrasound examinations including General, Small Parts, Vascular studies and localizations for aspirations. Some Sonographers also contribute to the Paediatric, Muscular-Skeletal and Head and Neck ultrasound services.
We operate a system of work to enable independent Sonographer diagnostic reporting. Training of medical and non-medical staff is also a function of the various ultrasound departments within NHS Grampian and forms an integral part of the post.
