Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team, on a part time basis. (Hours to be agreed)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, by recording income and expenses, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with relevant regulations. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will require proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero.
Duties
* Maintain and update financial records using the accounting software, Xero.
* Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
* Provide support in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Skills
* Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
