Job Description: Customer Service Assistant at One Stop, Peterborough
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, located in Peterborough. This role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment where each day presents new challenges.
Your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance. You will play a vital role in the daily operations of our store, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for customers and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Serving customers with passion and pride, offering natural and friendly service.
2. Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
3. Working across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
4. Practicing safety and following training protocols.
5. Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
6. Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
7. Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and adhering to policies.
8. Accurately clocking in and out for shifts.
9. Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
10. Serving age-restricted products responsibly, following the 'Think 25' policy.
11. Responding promptly to assistance calls, especially at self-service checkouts.
12. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
13. Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
14. Undertaking necessary training to ensure safety and compliance.
If the store has a Post Office Local, additional duties include managing daily operations of the Post Office, which requires passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
