Location
Hillingdon Granges – predominantly at Yiewsley Grange, with occasional support for other sites in the Hillingdon Granges cluster.
Salary
Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus a £5,000 Welcome Bonus (paid as two instalments of £2,500).
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Contract
Permanent (term‑time only, with flexibility about full‑time status if mutually agreed).
Job Description
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team. You will work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent or have SEMH needs. Your practice will be guided by the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working and the standards of your governing and professional bodies.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neuro‑divergent profiles, or SEMH needs.
* Work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working and maintain professional standards.
* Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with support from a clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and communicate with families, relatives and carers.
* Apply evidence‑based practice and maintain professional development activities.
Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* HCPC registered.
* 1–2 years experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT working in a similar setting.
* Relevant experience engaging individuals with complex and diverse communication profiles.
* Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice.
* Experience of multidisciplinary working in varied settings.
* Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers.
* Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice.
* Strong relationship‑building, analytical and judgement skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Good time‑management and organisational skills.
* Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
* Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools and intervention types, and ability to formulate support plans based on need profiles.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to the client group.
* ASD experience.
Desirable Criteria
* Understanding of other differences such as sensory and motor impacts on communication.
* Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
