Location: Birmingham Central
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: £26,000 – £27,000 per annum.
About the Role
We are currently looking for a dedicated and organised Booking Officer to join our busy and fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys multitasking, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
As a key member of the Bookings Department, you will play an essential role in coordinating interpreting services and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Answering incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
* Taking bookings via phone and email
* Assigning jobs to interpreters using our advanced online portal
* Managing booking requests accurately and in a timely manner
* Ensuring all information is logged correctly and company procedures are followed
* Always providing excellent customer service
Essential Skills & Qualities

* Exceptional attention to detail.

* The ability to use initiative and find efficient ways to complete tasks
* The ability to always follow company policies and procedures
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset
* The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* At least one reference from a previous employer
