We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated _____ Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team.
Please note that this role will be for 6 sessions per week and will be spread across a Tuesday - Friday work pattern.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Face to face, telephone and online consultations
- Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing of medications and appropriate treatments
- Undertake home visits as and when required
- Reviewing of pathology and diagnostic results
- Referral of patients to secondary care and specialist services
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
- Promotion of health education and disease prevention
- Support management of long-term conditions including diabetes, asthma and hypertension
2 On-Call sessions per week
Safeguarding & Governance
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults
- Participate in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement activities
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and information governance standards
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
Administrative Responsibilities
- Completion of clinical documentation promptly
- Processing of prescriptions, referrals and medical certificates
- Manage workflow tasks and correspondence
- An element of Non-NHS work, including insurance/medical reports

We are currently a GP partnership of 30 practices with 38 surgeries, serving around 280,000 patients in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Shropshire.
Our head office is based in Cotteridge, but this role will be based at Woodgate Valley Health Centre.
Person Specification Experience
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Competence with clinical IT system SystmOne
Personal Skills & Qualities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
Qualifications
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- Full registration with General Medical Council
- MRCGP qualification or equivalent
- Inclusion on the GP Register
- Licence to practice in the UK
