About the Role
Careland healthcare services is currently looking for Care and Support workers to work in Care Homes in North-East England- Leeds, Cumbria, County Durham, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and Oxfordshire.
Full time/part time hours available Covering;
Shifts
Night and Long Day shifts available
Early and Late shifts available
Duties of Care and support workers;
* Give individual care and support ·
* Offer and respect the rights and choices of individuals ·
* Be non-judgmental ·
* Read and follow detail of Care Plans ·
* Treat people how they want to be treated ·
* Promote independence ·
* Assist with personal care tasks as requested ·
* Read and follow detail of Care Plans ·
* Listen to, observe and respond to a person’s needs, wishes, and feelings ·
* Assist with leisure and meaningful occupation of the person · Report any changes of needs or circumstances, preferences as necessary ·
* Be sensitive and caring when providing personal care ·
* Ensure privacy and dignity is respected at all times ·
* To support good health and well-being ·
* Observe, monitor, and report accordingly ·
* Answer calls for assistance promptly and politely ·
* Support with some administration of medication as led by Team Leader ·
* Adhere to the medication procedure ·
* Record accurately ·
* Develop skills learned on the job ·
* Adhere to local policies and procedures ·
* Comply with relevant standards ·
* Record in care plans and daily records accurately and concisely
* Ensure and maintain confidentiality ·
* Be factual, not assuming ·
* Ensure any data held complies with data protection legislation ·
* Work as part of a team ·
* To be accountable for own actions ·
* Seek advice from senior members of staff as necessary ·
* Be flexible in my approach ·
* Be observant and take responsibility for safety and security ·
* Ensure safety and well-being of residents and tenants ·
* Report any concerns to the appropriate individual ·
* Follow Home or Schemes emergency and security guidance. ·

Requirements for Care and Support workers
* Full time care workers required ( Day and Night Shifts available
* Right to work
* Valid DBS
* Care Assistant Experience
* Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Care Worker, Support Worker, Care Worker, Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Care Work Assistant, Resident Care Assistant, Resident Care Worker, Elderly Care Worker, Elderly Care Assistant, Elderly Support Worker, Elderly Care, Support Assistant, Enabler, Healthcare Assistant will also be considered for this role.
