About the Role:
My client is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic Small Works Division, operating out of their Worcestershire office. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of construction projects, typically ranging in value from £100,000 to £7 million, across multiple sectors.
You'll be working alongside experienced commercial and site teams, supporting the end-to-end financial management of projects. Whether it’s education, healthcare, residential or commercial schemes, no two projects are the same — giving you broad exposure and a great opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in cost estimation, budgeting, and tender preparation
*
Supporting procurement processes, subcontractor engagement, and contract administration
*
Helping to manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Ensuring accurate cost reporting and project financial tracking
*
Building strong working relationships with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
*
Maintaining compliance with internal procedures and industry standards
What We're Looking For:
*
A qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
*
Previous experience in a similar role or a strong desire to build a QS career in the construction industry
*
Excellent communication, organisational and numerical skills
*
A collaborative approach and proactive mindset
*
Full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to travel to project sites
