Estelle Manor is a rural retreat nestled in Oxfordshire. A Grade II-listed landmark house set on a 60-acre estate, surrounded by over 3,000 acres of beautiful parkland.
As the countryside companion to Maison Estelle, the manor is also a 'hosted home', bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove. A hotel and country club with one-of a-kind spaces and old school values of personalised service and discretion.
The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there's a kids' club for the little ones and a workspace.
As our People Partner, you'll be a trusted guide and sounding board for our leaders and teams. You'll work closely with all areas of our People function — from Talent Attraction to Learning & Development — to bring our people strategy to life. Your role will be about making the everyday experience of working here just as memorable as staying here.
You'll support leaders across the hotel, offering practical solutions, strategic insight, and a human touch to everything from recruitment and onboarding to performance and colleague wellbeing. With one team member reporting to you, you'll also lead by example, showing what great people leadership looks like.
What you'll be doing:
* Build strong relationships with department heads, understanding their needs and supporting them to create high-performing, engaged teams.
* Offer coaching, advice, and solutions that balance operational needs with a first-class colleague experience.
* Work alongside Talent Attraction, L&D, and other People specialists to deliver joined-up, seamless support.
* With a relentless focus on driving down turnover and increasing retention, you'll be interrogating our people data and initiating projects of work that help to resolve some of our core people issues, driving lasting change, elevating the employee experience, and ensuring 'our people feel as valued as our guests'
* Embed our values into every aspect of our work, ensuring they're lived and felt, not just written.
* You'll be ensuring that we deliver the beautiful basics brilliantly, changing, adapting, and communicating new process and policy across the business so that it's well understood and offers a high quality and integrated service for our people leaders and team members
* Encourage a culture of inclusivity, respect, and recognition.
* Support leaders in creating environments where feedback is welcomed, and great work is celebrated.
* Advise on employee relations with empathy, fairness, and discretion.
* Support managers with performance conversations, development plans, and change initiatives.
* Ensure policies and practices are up to date and aligned with our commitment to excellence.
The kind of person we are looking for:
* Experience in a People Partner or similar HR role, ideally within luxury hospitality or a premium lifestyle brand.
* Estelle Manor is a fast paced, evolving, and growing business. With growth and modernisation comes rapid change, and to thrive here it's important you find your energy in solving problems in an ever evolving and ambiguous environment, whilst never losing sight of the end goal.
* Through a positive and proactive attitude, you build internal relationships by truly understanding what your stakeholders need and by fulfilling your promises.
* You understand where policy ends, and judgement and intuition start. You understand the importance of creating a great employee experience, even when we're sharing bad news.
* With strong analytical skills, you're able to extract meaningful insight from data, convey it with clarity and ensure it informs priorities and action
* Knowledge of UK employment law, with a pragmatic and people-first approach.
* Confident building trusted relationships at every level, from team members to senior leaders.
* Collaborative and solutions-focused, able to see the big picture while caring about the details.
* Passionate about creating experiences that make colleagues feel valued, inspired, and proud to work here.
* A great team player: you want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way. You share information and understand that succeed or fail, we do so as a team.
