Lecturer in Power Electronics - Salford
We invite applications for a lecturer position in the field of Power Electronics. The post is on the Research and Teaching Pathway.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research portfolio in power converter design, modelling, hardware realisation, and control, with relevance to electrification challenges such as renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and/or sustainable transport. Experience with advanced converter architectures and their deployment in control system is desirable. Candidates should hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate experience in teaching Power electronics in Higher Education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and deliver teaching material across a range of modules within the subject area, including broader teaching as required.
2. Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or enhancement with particular focus on Power electronics.
3. Undertake individual or collaborative research projects of relevance to the School and University.
4. Identify external sources of funding and develop or contribute to funding bids – research, knowledge
