Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs Assist pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing Be willing to undertake personal care duties where required Support a variety of children across different age groups and needs Adapt to different roles and responsibilities as required within the school Supervise pupils during a daily 30-minute lunchtime duty Attend INSET days and contribute to the wider school community The Ideal Candidate Will: Be caring, compassionate, and patient Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Have a positive, flexible approach to supporting children Be willing to take initiative and respond to the needs of the school Have previous experience working with children (preferred but not essential) We are looking for someone who is committed to making a meaningful difference in children’s lives and who will embrace the values and ethos of our school community. Further Information Post is initially fixed term with the possibility of extending. Working hours are: 8.30am - 3.15pm Monday to Friday. You will also be required to attend a TA meeting one afternoon each week between 3.15pm - 3.45pm. Actual Salary £18,479 - £18,772 per annum (Grade 5, SCP 5-6). This job is Term Time Only for 31.75 hours per week and 38 weeks per year. The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year To start as soon as possible. Keeping Children Safe in Education Our school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates.
