Hays Education, the market-leading Education sector recruitment specialists, are looking for Teachers for permanent, long term, and short term supply positions across the Wirral from the end of the summer term and in September. Hays Education have been supplying teachers to Wirral primary schools for nearly twenty-five years and work with over 65% of Wirral primary schools, many via dedicated partnership agreements. We are the only recruitment agency with two dedicated consultants servicing the Wirral area.
Your new role
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of primary schools across Wirral, with positions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classes, experiencing new and exciting challenges on a regular basis. You will have access to permanent teaching opportunities for September 2025, and will also have the option of undertaking rewarding long term assignments, where you would get paid an equivalent Teacher salary from day one as well as being able to complete terms of your induction. Usually long term assignments will come about through maternity cover, sickness cover and interim cover.
We also have opportunities for short term supply teaching work for the end of the Summer term and September. Supply is an excellent opportunity to gain paid more experience in a variety of different schools and year groups.
What you'll need to succeed
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
* Be in the final stages of your 3 or 4 year teaching course with a view to obtaining your QTS in July, or be working towards your PGCE or PGDE, OR an ECT that already has QTS.
* A valid DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)
* A minimum of 6 months of UK teaching experience in the last 2 years
* A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
* A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
