Job Description
3. Quote and execute FX transactions within approved mandates.
4. Refine, implement and uphold robust FX trading desk procedures.
5. Deliver business results by executing the desk strategy and wider business plan.
6. Ensure full adherence to First Line responsibilities, including compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
7. Continuously identify, assess, mitigate/manage and monitor all risks, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, valuation, model and compliance risks (such as conduct risk and conflicts of interest).
8. Report and escalate any material risk events or losses promptly to line management, identify root causes, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful FX Trader should have:
9. A degree in a related field.
10. Proven experience trading FX products.
11. Strong technical knowledge of FX and other Treasury instruments, with strong emphasis on derivatives.
12. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
13. Capability to support delivery of strategic business plans.
14. Ability to engage clients with insightful and well‑reasoned market discussions.
15. Broad market experience and strong commercial understanding.
16. Ability to collaborate effectively with Treasury colleagues to optimise efficiency and profitability.
17. Comfortable working within a small, close‑knit team.
18. Consistent commitment to strong risk management and compliance standards.
