Prepares patient and assists the clinical provider with patient examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs, past medical history, social history and chief complaint. Performs various clinical tasks within the scope of certification and under physician supervision. Manages front‑desk duties as directed, including patient registration, billing and appointment scheduling.
Position Responsibilities
 * Prepare patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaint, and positioning the patient for provider examination. Set up exam room as needed.
 * Perform phlebotomy and obtain specimens for processing. Administer vaccines and complete required documentation. Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, pulmonary function, etc. under physician supervision.
 * Screen and direct patient calls according to established protocols. Contact patients regarding prescriptions and testing results under physician supervision.
 * Conduct daily regulatory testing as required and document results to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance.
 * Maintain par level of clinical supplies for the facility.
 * Perform front‑desk duties as directed, which may include registering patients, billing, and appointment scheduling.
Position Qualifications / Experience
0-2 years of similar medical office experience preferred.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. In the state of Delaware, certification within one year of hire is required.
Training / Certifications / Licensure
 * Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.
 * BLS Certification required.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.88 - $28.29 (actual rate depends on experience and market data).
