Primary schools across Croydon are looking for Learning Support Assistants and 1:1 Support Staff to work closely with pupils who need a little extra help to thrive. These are caring, community-led schools that value their support staff just as much as their teachers.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs
2. Helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged in learning
3. Supporting emotional regulation, routines, and positive behaviour
4. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to put support plans into action
This role could be a great fit if you:
5. Have experience supporting children in a school, nursery, or similar setting
6. Are patient, nurturing, and calm under pressure
7. Enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
8. Have SEN experience (ASD, ADHD, SEMH), or a genuine desire to learn
