My client is a leading multi-site electronics and technology manufacturing business, who are part of a larger international group of connected technology manufacturing businesses. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, my client seeks a Project Manager to join their Engineering Division.About the RoleThe Project Manager will oversee the end to end implementation of engineering and /or multi discipline projects. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources to deliver the projects with multiple stakeholders.
You will deliver projects on time, within budget, and that meet the specification required for the project.Key ResponsibilitiesCreation and management of the projects within an Agile frameworkEnsuring the project scope is well defined and understoodOrganising the resources required to deliver the projectEffectively managing any sub-contractors required for the projectOverseeing the accounting monitoring and control of the projectAdvising on effective project management to other stakeholdersReporting to stakeholders on project progress against agreed metricsWorking in conjunction with other Principle Engineers, build the delivery schedule taking into account the resource and capacity of the departmentContribute to development considerations with the use of emerging technologiesEvaluation of projects against benchmark and sharing of lessons learnt and best practiceAbout YouTo be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess a Degree in a relevant discipline (electronics, electrical, automation, embedded software, robotics etc.) and possess considerable demonstrable skills and experience as a Project Manager working within a multidisciplinary engineering/technology environment.Key Selection CriteriaProfessional qualifications in Project Management would be an advantageMotivated, confident, self-aware and highly analyticalInclusive, positive and co-operative working attitudeProblem solverAbility to deal with clients at all levels and display high emotional intelligenceProject or team manager with experience of commercial project delivery.Proven success managing end-to-end projects, motivating teams and delivering on time and on budgetStrong written and verbal communication skills (English)Knowledge of Scrum and other Agile development techniquesAbility to make critical decisions and be accountable for outcomes.Attention to detail and focus on quality outputGood knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management techniquesGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficePrevious experience of working in a product development environment would be an advantageTPBN1_UKTJ
