3288 - Facilities Operative (Domestic Services)
BFS Facilities Services (BFS) has vacancies for enthusiastic team players to work as Facilities Operatives, joining our Domestic Cleaning & Housekeeping Services within Barnsley Hospital.
We are looking for individuals who are flexible, eager to learn, and develop in this fast-moving and challenging area of our business. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 17:00 - 20:00, with a contracted 15 hours per week.
We are also looking for individuals interested in working as part of the Health on the High Street Scheme at the Alhambra in Barnsley Town Centre.

Main duties of the job
* Provide cleaning services to wards and departments close to beds, respecting patient dignity.
* Manage cleaning schedules in line with patient and ward activity.
* Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed and checked daily.
* Provide emergency and ad hoc cleaning as required.
* Undertake manual and mechanical cleaning activities according to schedule.
* Comply with specific cleaning methods for different areas.
* Work safely at all times, considering oneself and others.
* Check and observe cleaning standards in accordance with schedule.
