Forge Talent is proud to be recruiting a Financial Controller for a leading global manufacturing group that is expanding its European footprint through ongoing acquisition activity. This hybrid role is based from their Cheshire hub.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller looking to progress to Finance Director level. A clear succession plan is already in place, with promotion expected within 18–24 months. You will play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the group’s continued growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the European Finance Director (UK-based).
* Lead and deliver the consolidated financials across multiple European entities.
* Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
* Support a finance transformation programme, including Power BI implementation and integrating acquisitions onto D365.
* Conduct variance analysis, trend reporting, and scenario modelling.
* Partner with the SLT and executive team to present insights and recommendations.
* Work closely with the European Finance Director on acquisition integration, aligning accounting procedures to group standards.
* Maintain full compliance with all relevant reporting requirements and tax obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
* Strong leadership skills, able to influence and deliver at all levels.
* Proven experience in senior finance roles.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
* Essential - Experience working within complex, multi-entity and international environments.
* Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle).
* Some travel to European sites.
* Manufacturing experience not essential.
