Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Sheffield, to recruit a dedicated EYFS Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community, providing essential learning and emotional support to children with additional needs. The role is full-time and long-term, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities of anEYFS Level 2 Teaching Assistant:
* Providing 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with special educational needs
* Supporting childrens learning and development in the classroom and during interventions
* Implementing tailored strategies and resources
* Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and external professionals where required
The Ideal EYFS Level 2 Teaching Assistant Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school or EYFS setting
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning support
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent experience)
* An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Availability for full-time, term-time work
