Job Description
An independent and successful food manufacturer is seeking an experienced multi-skilled Lead Maintenance Engineer / Team Leader to work on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern. As Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will manage two other engineers on your shift to ensure safety compliance, workload prioritization, and quality standards.
Salary: c£47k + Up to 5% Bonus
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour days and nights

This role is ideal for engineers living in South Nottingham, North Leicestershire, or Melton Mowbray area.
Key responsibilities of Lead Maintenance Engineer:
1. Manage, guide, and mentor your team
2. Ensure high-quality production output through effective maintenance
3. Use PPMs to minimize downtime
4. Monitor processes and equipment, report variances, and take corrective actions
5. Communicate malfunctions to relevant departments
6. Respond to unplanned maintenance breakdowns
7. Complete engineering projects for installation and modifications of equipment and processes
Experience and skills required:
1. Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3, ideally ONC / HNC level
2. Multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical experience (preferably electrically biased)
3. Ideally apprenticeship trained
4. Proactive attitude to problem-solving and supporting production
5. Food manufacturing experience is highly advantageous
