We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to support the development and delivery of sponsorship for our programme of online public policy conferences.
This role is focused on research, organisation, coordination and relationship management, rather than high-volume sales. It will suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable working across multiple projects at once, and interested in public policy, business and current affairs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in researching and identifying potential sponsors for new conference topics, managing inbound enquiries, and ensuring existing sponsors are supported effectively from initial engagement through to event delivery.
This role would ideally suit a recent graduate or someone looking for their second role in a professional environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Researching organisations, sectors and individuals that may be interested in sponsoring specific conference topics, and proactively suggesting new commercial leads;
* Approaching potential sponsors and responding promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries;
* Managing sponsor relationships once secured, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring commitments are delivered smoothly;
* Coordinating with internal teams on sponsor requirements, materials and conference logistics;
* Tracking leads, sponsor activity and outcomes accurately across multiple events;
* Preparing sponsorship documentation, packages and bespoke proposals as required.
We are looking for:
* Excellent research skills and the ability to identify relevant organisations for different policy and business themes;
* Strong organisational, planning and tracking skills, with close attention to detail;
* An interest in current affairs, public policy and the business environment;
* Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills;
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously, working independently and as part of a team;
* Confidence using CRM systems, spreadsheets or similar tracking tools would be beneficial.
