About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Summer Program Director to lead an international teen summer program for students aged 15–18 year olds.
This is a senior, highly rewarding role at the heart of the student experience. You will oversee program delivery, staff leadership, student wellbeing, and daily operations ensuring a safe, structured, and inspiring environment where young people from around the world can learn, grow, and thrive.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in education, residential programs, youth work, or sports and activities management, combined with excellent organisational and pastoral skills .
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Program Leadership
* Support program planning, agenda development, and activity design
* Assist with set-up and staff onboarding
* Train and mentor junior counsellors on program structure and expectations
On-Site Program Management
* Lead the delivery of the full program agenda
* Oversee daily sports, wellbeing, and enrichment activities
* Coordinate excursions and on-site events
* Manage student arrivals and departures
* Ensure all activities meet safeguarding and health & safety standard
Student Welfare & Pastoral Care
* Serve as main point of contact for parents and participants
* Monitor student wellbeing, medical needs, and inclusion
* Supervise mealtimes, evening routines, and boarding arrangements
* Manage any disciplinary, medical, or pastoral concerns
Team Management
* Lead and support the counsellor team
* Organise staff briefings and meetings
* Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative culture
Post-Program
* Prepare a comprehensive program report
* Contribute to evaluation and future planning
Who We're Looking For
Required
* Teacher certified, proven experience in a leadership role within education, youth programs, residential camps, or sports with 10 years of experience
* Strong organizational and people-management skills
* Excellent communication with teens, parents, and staff
* Ability to manage complex logistics and respond calmly to challenges
* Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Full availability on site 15 July – 2 August 2026
* Experience leading international student groups
* First aid / safeguarding qualifications
* Background in sports, wellbeing, or activity program
* Necessary work permit / visa in place
* DBS background check
