The School: The school is a mixed comprehensive secondary setting for 11-16 year old's. It is an enjoyable place to work, where pupil's have a positive attitude towards learning. The school is consistently oversubscribed and there is a focus on both staff and pupil's personal development. The Role of a Teaching Assistant: Starting September 30.5h p/week - term time only Permanent role available following a settling in period Assist developing and implementing work programmes for students in alternative provision and lessons Provide a stable, caring and supportive learning environment Maintain detailed notes to help monitor student progress and attainment For this Teaching Assistant role we are interested in educators who have experience in one of these fields: Working within a trauma-informed approach Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD Addressing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Supporting cognition and learning development Leading interventions on a 1:1 basis or with small groups Working within Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) settings (Although you will be working with secondary age students, you may be required to work with individuals who have severe learning delays) Personal Care experience is desirable but not essential Requirements of a Teaching Assistant: An Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through ANZUK An up-to-date CV outlining employment covering the last two years Have experience working with students in a voluntary or paid capacity Knowledge in supporting students who have a combination of learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs Willing to complete full registration with ANZUK How to apply: To apply, please submit your CV by clicking the Apply button now.
