Worcester, regional focused position
A leading civil engineering/utilities specialist is seeking a Health and Safety professional to join the business to support its projects across the West Midlands region, which will work predominantly be across Worcestershire and the Birmingham region. The position will be hybrid with a mix of office, site and home working. The ideal candidate will have strong utilities experience and be able to work autonomously, be an effective communicator and a proactive individual.
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
Driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for health & safety
Site-focused, carrying out audits and inspections across the project
Able to work autonomously and manage their own diary and workload.
Support the team to create a positive health & safety culture
Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans.
Promote Health & Safety initiatives
Manage internal & external stakeholders
The Health & Safety Advisor will have:
3+ years of experience working in health & safety
NEBOSH qualified
Experience working in utilities would be preferred, but heavy civil engineering is considered
Happy to travel across the West Midlands Region in a hybrid position
