We are seeking a Band 6 Cardiac Physiologist to develop in all areas of Cardiac Diagnostics, including cardiac catheter procedures, pacemaker implant and follow‑up for both basic and complex devices, ETT and tape analysis.
We have full Echo services, including DSE, HSE, ESE and TOE. Opportunities to develop in Echo will be optional as other skills are achieved to high levels.
We have a community‑based service in addition to the hospital‑based diagnostics and you will be a participant in the team roster to support these services.
You will support our training programme affiliated to St. Georges and participate in audit, educational meetings and team social activities.
PLEASE NOTE: This post does not initially include ECHO; however, this may be an option to progress.
Accountable to Principle Cardiac Physiologist Manager.
To develop advanced diagnostic skills to provide comprehensive invasive and non‑invasive cardiac investigation services within the Trust and to the local community.
To contribute to the delivery of a safe, high‑quality cardiac investigation service that is responsive to both patient and clinician needs.
To ensure the successful implementation and roll‑out of any service improvements or new innovations that will improve the quality and safety of the service.
To independently analyse 24‑hour tape ECGs and extend professional training by completing BSE/HRUK for proficiency in Echocardiography and complex pacemakers.
Attain competency in pacemaker follow‑ups and implants. Perform cardiac investigation on wards, especially those with high dependency patients and the critically.
