A well-established global financial services platform is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join its risk function. The firm provides liquidity, market access, and infrastructure services across energy, commodities, and financial markets, with a strong international presence and a diverse institutional client base.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of credit analysis across a varied portfolio of clients and counterparties, working closely with senior risk leadership to support informed credit decision-making in a fast-paced, global environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit analysis and forming well-reasoned recommendations on credit facilities. The position involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders and exposure to a broad range of counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, clearing entities, and state-linked organisations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform qualitative and quantitative credit analysis on existing and prospective clients and counterparties
* Develop well-structured credit recommendations for senior risk leadership and credit committees
* Monitor macroeconomic and country-specific developments and assess their impact on credit risk
* Engage with clients domestically and internationally where required
* Produce management information and reporting on a periodic and ad hoc basis
* Act as a trusted advisor to the business on credit matters
* Manage credit facility applications and reviews for an allocated portfolio
* Build strong cross-departmental relationships to support the firm’s client service model
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit risk policies, processes, and controls
* Escalate material credit issues appropriately to senior management

* Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to distil complex analysis into clear risk summaries
* Experience presenting to senior stakeholders or governance forums
