Fantastic opportunity for a National Account Manager (EMEA) (Hybrid) to join a highly successful Homewares company with over 150 brands under their name. As the National Account Manager you are at the head of the sales function, you will report directly into the Sales Director, this role will act as a ‘second in command’ and have the ability to negotiate at a senior level. The role will manage all aspects of the customer relationships to support the businesses ambitions collaborating with retailers across the UK and Europe including value, grocer, mid-market and specialty channels

Main Responsibilities:-
* Deliver budget, manage investment levels, and effectively forecast by account.
* Identify, analyse, and develop new business opportunities from both current/target accounts.
* Budget annually and forecast monthly.
* Main point of contact for your customers; ability to network & influence throughout the retail market.
* Management of current customers together with opening up new customers / routes to market in line with the sales strategy.
* To manage customer expectations in an effective and considered manner.
* Develop, drive and manage customer product development along with critical paths.
* Drive distribution of existing and new products. Manage product mix to maximise margin.
* Negotiate all elements of pricing, terms and promotions within Business guidelines.
* Build promotional plans in line with customer and brand events.
* Application of Category Management; influence the necessary strategies to deliver category/profit.
* Manage effective communication of Brand plans to customer base.
* Monitor key account competitor activity, whilst communicating any impact on the market and pricing.
* To obtain full customer project briefs and provide appropriate and innovate solutions that meet the criteria.
* Contribute to build up of market intelligence.
* Fully execute & post-evaluate promotional activity. Exercise trade spend control and process adherence.
* Negotiate & develop throughout the year annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
* Manage effective communication of Brand & Category solutions. Execute all points of purchase to the highest standard e.g., store, on-line, events.
Skills Required:-
* Be an established NAM or Senior National Account Manager.
* European language skills desirable but not essential
* Have a demonstrable track record of real performance and success within sales.
* Experience within the relevant customer base – Distributors/Agents & retail in EMEA.
* Experience in content and asset building for product listings.
* Experience in negotiating JBPs, plus leading and maintaining regular face to face customer meetings.
* Comfortable in driving distribution channels and product listings.
* Data-driven; able to analyse weekly sales data, establishing trends and / or issues and then acting on them quickly and precisely at pace.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary.
