Job Description:
Work on engineering challenges that don’t have answers yet - and get to invent the tools that make solving them possible. This role is for deep, thoughtful engineers who validate their ideas before pitching them.
Instead of refining existing products, you’ll build bespoke test equipment from scratch, involving detailed work in tolerances, metrology, soldering, mechanical design, electronics, fluid dynamics, and thermal systems.
Engineers are expected to form and test hypotheses with multiple validation methods, understanding manufacturing processes and constraints.
As you develop solutions, you'll grow into a more influential role, shaping processes and mentoring others.
What you’ll do
* Design, assemble, and operate high-precision rigs and components with micrometer tolerances.
* Own quality outcomes, impacting lab results and test performance.
* Understand measurement, alignment, material choices, and design constraints.
What you’ll need
* Strong mechanical design experience, especially in manufacturable parts and tight tolerances.
* Hands-on assembly, testing, jig design skills, familiarity with pneumatic systems.
* Experience in a commercial R&D environment.
Please apply only if you have high-precision mechanical engineering experience and understand the rationale behind system designs.
