Job Summary
Aspire People is currently seeking passionate and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to join our team, working on a day-to-day and short-term basis in secondary schools across St Albans and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers looking for flexibility, variety, and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons across year 7 to year 11, aligned with the National Curriculum
* Follow pre-set lesson plans or provide appropriate cover work when needed
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with each school's policies
* Mark students' work and leave detailed handover notes as required
* Build positive relationships with staff and pupils at different schools
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (essential)
* Prior teaching experience in UK secondary schools (preferred)
* Confident and adaptable in different school settings
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
