Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within our Physiotherapy Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse
What you will do:
You will provide support to the registered physiotherapy staff, and under their direct supervision / instruction, assist them with the rehabilitation of patients within the Orthopaedic Trauma Unit. This may include moving and handling of patients, escorting and preparing the patient for treatment, assisting in the treatment where more than one person is required, carrying out specific treatment interventions as instructed by physiotherapist and delivering equipment.As well specific house-keeping and administration tasks.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will be possess a Health or social care related SVQ, or recognised fitness industry qualification. With relevant experience of caring for/assisting individuals in a health care or fitness setting. You will have an understanding of the role, and a basic health and safety
Official
awareness, as well as customer care awareness. You will have well developed written and verbal communication skills, and have basic computer literacy.
Hours:
Hours worked 31.82 Mon & Fri: 0815 – 1540hrs Tues – Thurs 0815-1445hrs
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for a period of 9 months
Full UK driving licence is essential to this role.
