About the role
Dayshape is a single-product company that’s grown rapidly from start-up to scale-up. We are a unique, powerful product, but our space is increasingly competitive and we need to stay in pole position. As we develop the product, partner with other solutions such as Workday, and move into new verticals, product marketing is critical to support our growth. You’ll collaborate with the wider team to showcase how great our product is, make sure the market knows it too and help enable our sales team on the available product marketing materials.
This is a hands-on role responsible for executing the product marketing plan and activities that enable our audiences to understand Dayshape's USPs and inspire them to buy. In doing so, you will contribute to the overall achievement of the marketing team’s objectives and, ultimately, Dayshape’s pipeline growth.
Your day-to-day could look like any mix of; creating sales enablement materials and market-facing assets, developing value proposition and messaging, analysing industry and competitive research and positioning, conducting win-loss interviews, and building relationships with industry influencers. As an expert on the market and the capabilities of our platform, you will be responsible for sharing insights internally to enhance the broader company's understanding of our position in the market and our USPs.
What you'll do
4. Act as a conduit between product and our commercial teams to ensure our product is showcased to best effect to prospects and customers.
5. Market research: conduct win/loss reviews, customer interviews and analyst relations.
6. Messaging development: Create and maintain compelling, differentiated value propositions and product messaging for new and existing markets and features.
7. Competitor intel: Collate, analyse and disseminate information to the business
8. Work with marketing leadership to develop the product marketing strategy and plan, including new product launches where required.
9. Create engaging product marketing content in appropriate formats suitable for a range of channels that showcases Dayshape’s USPs.
10. Manage our presence on relevant software review sites globally to ensure they are maximized to help attract inbound leads.
11. Sales enablement: Work with the commercial teams and broader marketing team to develop content that supports quality commercial conversations.
12. Marketing performance analysis: Monitor and report on product marketing initiatives make recommendations for improvement.
13. Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all material/collateral remains on brand and on message.
14. Budget and agency management where required.
About you
15. Strong product marketing experience - B2B SaaS highly preferred.
16. Understanding of B2B sales cycles – particularly product marketing requirements through high value, low volume sales pipelines.
17. Strong written and verbal communication with proven storytelling skills and the ability to translate technical information into impactful, high level marketing messaging
18. Highly adept at cross-functional collaboration and senior stakeholder management. Comfortable holding colleagues to account on deliverables whilst maintaining strong relationships.
19. Experienced at – and comfortable with – interviewing customers and prospects, assimilating information into actionable insights.
20. Experience using marketing automation platforms - HubSpot preferred.
21. Self-motivated and organised, you act at the appropriate pace by balancing importance and urgency and seeking support from management and colleagues when needed.
Bonus points if you have
22. Knowledge of professional services organisations, particularly accounting firms
23. A background in resource management, ERP, PSA or PPM software
24. Knowledge of April Dunford’s methodologies - we’re big fans!
What you’ll get
25. Salary c.£45,000-58,000 depending on experience
26. At least £1,000 per year to spend on professional and personal development

Working Details
This is a full-time role ( hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.
We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, though we’re open to the possibility of this being a remote role for candidates in the North of England. We operate a hybrid working model, and although we don't mandate office time, most Edinburgh-based employees come to the office twice a week to collaborate and connect in person.
