We are partnering with an established manufacturer at the forefront of imaging technologies, into markets including medical imaging, industrial security, aerospace, and scientific research. The business is entering an exciting new chapter and is now seeking a Managing Director to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth.
The Role
The Managing Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the business, with responsibility for:
* Defining and executing the company’s long-term growth strategy
* Full P&L ownership and delivery of revenue and profitability targets
* Leading and developing the senior management team across sales, operations, R&D, and finance
* Driving commercial excellence, with a strong focus on international growth and new market development
* Ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction
* Acting as the external face of the business with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
The Candidate
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded leader with:
* Proven senior leadership experience, ideally as Managing Director, General Manager, or Business Unit Director
* A strong track record in photonics, optics, scientific instrumentation, spectroscopy, imaging technologies, or advanced manufacturing
* P&L responsibility and demonstrable success in growing a technology-driven business
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams
* Strategic vision combined with hands-on operational oversight
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
