As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be working at the UK’s largest and most technologically advanced Fresh Milk production facility which produces 1 billion litres of milk per year.
How will you make an impact?
Reporting into the Logistics Planning Manager – Warehousing, you will lead by example for a team of up to 20 colleagues who are responsible for carrying out all Warehouse tasks associated with ensuring up to 150 trailers over 24 hours are loaded on time in full for despatch to our customers. Using your excellent People, engagement and communication skills you will be working alongside Production, Supply Chain, Process and Logistic colleagues achieving cross functional site alignment to make sure site targets are achieved as well as working in partnership with the Despatch LCO Team to continuously drive and improve colleague and Warehouse performance. Supporting your team You will also need to have the resilience and ability to find solutions under pressure whilst maintaining a strong people focused approach with emphasis on improving colleague performance through coaching.
Your main responsibilities will include the following;
8. Take ownership of team and site safety, including conducting daily safety walks and ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols.
9. Drive high service levels by ensuring timely loading, accurate deliveries, and consistent product quality.
10. Manage recruitment, training, and development to build a resilient team and maintain a strong talent pipeline. Conduct regular performance reviews to support individual growth.
11. Monitor and achieve key KPIs such as loading times, bay turnaround, and picking performance. Ensure accurate time and attendance records in SAP, manage absence, and maintain audit and financial compliance.
12. Support Coldstore performance to enhance production OEE and actively contribute to wider site business plan initiatives.
What will you need to succeed?
You will be a highly motivated individual ideally with previous experience of working In a systems based warehousing environment. You will have people leader experience, have managed teams of 10+ people. Ideally you will have experience working within an automated or semi automated warehouse environment, with an understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles.
You will need to be able to work on a 12 hour rotating shift pattern basis, which includes both days and nights. The shift pattern means you will be working 14 days out of 35.
