About the role
It is exciting times here at Churchill Retirement Living and due toour bold growth plans we are recruiting for an Apprentice Land Buyer to join the Land team in our Southwest region based in Ringwood.
You will be an integral part of the regional land team, gaining an understanding of the entire process of land acquisition and our requirements within your first few months.
You will be responsible for researching towns and taking a proactive approach to identifying suitable land opportunities from a variety of sources. Alongside the Land Buyers and Manager you will visit our target towns, meet with Land Owners and Agents to explore the viability of sites. You will also assist with site appraisals and valuations.
Excitingly you have the opportunity to be involved in the whole process and build your knowledge and understanding of Land Acquisitions, seeing your sites progress through the due diligence process to contract exchange and legal completion.
Whilst working with us we will fund you through Surveying Technician apprenticeship. To help develop your knowledge of construction and provide the skills you will need to set you up for success, this apprenticeship includes working experience in our Commercial, Design, Technical and Construction Departments.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5.30pm and Fridays are 9am to 5pm.
What Qualification do I get?
On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will gain the following qualifications:
13. Surveying Technician Level 3 apprenticeship
14. BTEC level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment
What opportunities are there for progression?
After gaining your level 3 apprenticeship there is an opportunity to further your studies with an HNC or Degree apprenticeship in Real Estate Management.
Career progression paths would be to a Land Buyer, Land Manager then Land Director.

This is a busy and varied support role. To be successful you will need:
15. Good communication skills and the ability to develop strong and positive working relationships with both colleagues and external suppliers

17. High standard of verbal and written English
18. Self motivated, enthusiastic and reliable, with a strong work ethic
19. High attention to detail and able to work with accuracy
20. A basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
21. A willingness to learn and develop
Upon joining the programme you will need the following qualifications:
22. GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4/5) Essential
23. GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4/5) Essential
24. GCSE or equivalent in Geography would be an advantage
