Job Description
Join the thriving and dynamic United Infrastructure team in Washington! As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome a new Civils team leader & Operatives to contribute to our success. If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, where you can develop your skills and be part of an industry-leading organisation, this role is for you.
Purpose:
To be responsible for the installation of mains and services to required standards.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain own and others health and safety
* Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructed
* Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.
* Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus
* Manhandle materials, plant and equipment
* Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes
* Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
* Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security
* Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard
* Assist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company business
* Maintain safety, environmental and quality records
* Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentation
* Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision
Qualifications
* NRSWA (Units 1-3 minimum)
* CSCS card
* Cat & Genny
* 360 operators ticket
* Dumper operators ticket
* Current clean driving licence
