Are you a qualified mental health practitioner with a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of children and young people? Do you want to make a meaningful impact in education and local communities?

We are actively recruiting for roles within the East Riding Mental Health Support Teams, and welcome applications from qualified professionals who can bring their expertise to this essential work.

Our teams work directly with schools and colleges to support children and young people aged 5 to 18. With a focus on whole-school approaches, consultation, and collaborative support, we aim to enhance mental wellbeing across educational settings.

Key elements of the role include:

To deliver low intensity psychological interventions as part of a wider offer

Facilitating parent-led workshops and creative-based interventions

Providing advice, guidance, and consultation to schools and the wider system

Supporting mild to moderate mental health needs

If you're a qualified practitioner ready to help shape positive change for young people, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate, with appropriate supervision, will work as an autonomous and responsible practitioner, according to their professional training and within the scope of their local job description. Key aspects of the role include:

Delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in educational settings who experience mild to moderate mental health difficulties

Assisting children and young people with more complex needs to rapidly access specialist mental health services

Supporting and guiding educational staff in identifying and managing mental health and wellbeing issues

Working collaboratively within educational environments to improve access to mental health services, using professional expertise to strengthen and complement existing wellbeing initiatives

Providing peer support and mentorship to trainees and other qualified practitioners

Traveling independently across the locality to deliver services as needed
