Full job description
Perfect for a recent university leaver with an analytical mindset. You'll learn to coordinate domestic retrofit projects under PAS 2035, supported by experienced coordinators and designers. We provide full training and education(including funded Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator qualification) plus structured hands-on site experience.
What you'll do (with training and support)
* Assist with site surveys, data capture, condition/ventilation notes and photos.
* Build basic room-by-room heat-loss and U-value calculations; check emitter outputs with guidance.
* Develop retrofit models (RdSAP/SAP); run savings/carbon scenarios.
* Help prepare solar PV designs (layout, stringing basics, module/inverter selection, yield estimates).
* Support ASHP designs (sizing from heat loss, flow temps, cylinder/controls, siting/noise).
* Draft parts of Retrofit Plans, Installation Plans and Handover packs; maintain audit-ready records.
* Liaise with clients and install teams; keep trackers up to date.
About you
* Degree: Analytical subject (e.g., Building Surveying, Property/Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, Physics, Maths, Environmental/Data/Computer Science). Property/technical preferred but not essential.
* Skills: Strong numeracy; confident with spreadsheets and data; clear written/visual communication.
* Mindset: Curious about buildings/energy; organised; willing to learn on site.
* Driving: Full UK licence preferred; right to work in the UK.
You'll learn
* PAS roles, risk pathways, MTIP, Retrofit Plans, TrustMark lodgement.
* Building physics (heat transfer, moisture risk), Part F ventilation and Part L energy.
* Elmhurst/Stroma (RdSAP 10), Heat Engineer/MCS tools, EasyPV/OpenSolar/PV*SOL, MS 365.
* DNO basics (G98/G99), PV yield/shade, ASHP performance (SCOP), QA workflows.
