This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain hands-on classroom experience and make a positive difference in students' educational journeys as a Cover Supervisor(CS). As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include: Supervising students during the short-term absence of teaching staff. Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring pupils remain on task. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Assisting students with their learning where possible. Reporting back to the regular class teacher regarding progress and behaviour. To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you will need to: Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students (11–16), ideally in a school environment. Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Be confident, flexible, and quick to adapt to new settings. Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. Provide a full, 10-year career history with any gaps clearly explained. Why Join GSL Education?
