Excellent opportunity for a Project Director to join a tier 1 contractor to deliver a major, £100million infrastructure scheme in the centre of the city. This will involve the full replacement and upgrade of critical pipework systems. The project will be delivered under a Construction Management form of contract, requiring strong leadership, coordination of multiple trade packages, and close collaboration with client and stakeholders.
This is a high-profile central London project demanding exceptional programme management, stakeholder engagement, and technical oversight within a sensitive public environment.
Key responsibilities for the Project Director
* Provide strategic leadership and overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £100million pipework replacement scheme
* Manage the project under a CM procurement route, overseeing multiple work packages and trade contractors
* Ensure delivery against programme, budget, safety and quality targets.
* Act as the primary interface with the client, consultants and key stakeholders, including local authorities.
* Lead the commercial and contractual management of the scheme in collaboration with the commercial team.
* Drive health, safety and environmental excellence across all phases of the works.
* Coordinate logistics and construction activities within a highly constrained and publicly accessible environment.
* Build and lead a high-performing project teams
About the Project Director
* Proven experience delivering large scale infrastructure or utilities projects over £80million+
* Strong knowledge and experience working under Construction Management (CM) Contracts
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in sensitive or public facing environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong commercial awareness and experience managing multi-package procurement
* Degree qualified in Construction management, civil engineering or related discipline (or Equivalent experience)
