Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Murex Business Analyst (BA)
with strong expertise in either
Front Office
or
Back Office
modules to support the delivery of Murex-related projects within our capital markets domain. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring successful implementation of Murex functionalities.
Mandatory : Interest rate Swaps and Mortgage asset book experience
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with business users (Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, or Back Office) to gather and document requirements.
* Analyze business processes and translate them into functional specifications for Murex implementation.
* Configure and test Murex modules (FO or BO workflows, trade capture, confirmations, settlements, accounting, etc.).
* Support trade lifecycle management, including trade capture, pricing, risk management, settlements, and reporting.
* Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to align Murex with business needs.
* Collaborate with development, QA, and support teams to ensure timely delivery.
* Perform SIT, UAT support, and defect management.
* Provide production support and enhancements for Murex applications.
* Act as SME for Murex-related queries and provide training/documentation where necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets, with hands-on Murex expertise.
* Strong understanding of financial products (FX, Rates, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives).
* Hands-on knowledge of
Murex Front Office modules
(pricing, P&L, risk, trade capture) and/or
Back Office modules
(confirmations, settlements, payments, accounting).
* Familiarity with trade lifecycle from booking to settlement.
* Good understanding of Murex workflows, static data, and reporting.
* Strong functional knowledge in Capital Markets, preferably across FO/BO integration.
* Experience with SQL, XML, and Unix for data analysis and troubleshooting.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
* Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
