What you’ll be doing
*
Leading the logistics operation, including hauliers, carriers, loading bays, and yard management
*
Managing a team of team leaders, operatives, and administrators to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
*
Overseeing inbound and outbound scheduling, stock reconciliations, and inventory management
*
Monitoring carrier performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and negotiating contracts
*
Working closely with planning, customer care, exports, and inventory teams to meet business needs
*
Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and all site procedures
*
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus
*
Managing site H&S standards and ensuring safe operations across the logistics function
What you’ll bring
*
Experience managing logistics/transport operations in a fast-paced environment
*
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams
*
Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions that balance cost, quality, and service
*
Confidence in analysing performance data and driving improvements
*
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SAP/Witron/Cargoclix experience desirable)
*
Knowledge of ISO, lean techniques, and H&S compliance (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)
*
A proactive, adaptable, and process-driven mindset with excellent attention to detail
