Diagnostic Technician
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a professional workshop environment. This role focuses on advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems, supporting the workshop in resolving complex technical issues efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and third-party diagnostic equipment
*
Identify and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
*
Support and mentor other technicians with diagnostic guidance
*
Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
*
Carry out servicing and repair work when required
*
Accurately complete job cards, reports and digital health checks
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety and workshop procedures
*
Keep up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins and training
The Ideal Candidate
*
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
*
Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Technician
*
Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
*
Confident using diagnostic tools and vehicle systems software
*
EV / Hybrid certification (desirable but not essential)
*
MOT Tester licence (advantageous)
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Full UK driving licence
