Role Overview
Buttimer Engineering is seeking experienced Welder to join our growing team in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for steady work, good rates of pay, and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welding
Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, welding to join metal components accurately and securely.
Assembly
Assemble fabricated components into mechanical assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Quality Assurance
Inspect fabricated parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Safety Compliance
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation
Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, including material usage, production rates, and quality control measures.
Required Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification in Welding / Fabrication, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Welder / Plater in a mechanical engineering or industrial setting.
* Ability to read and understand fabrication and engineering drawings.
* Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques and workshop practices.
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong understanding of workplace safety standards.
* Forklift or manual handling certification (beneficial).
