Cranleigh STEM is partnering with a UK-based advanced materials manufacturer with a global reputation in highly specialised technical products, looking to appoint a Commercial Manager.
The business is a market leader in its field and is now accelerating growth within a high-performance materials portfolio, supplying into fast-growing sectors including EV, automotive electronics, IT infrastructure and industrial applications.
This is a senior commercial role focused on driving new business, building strategic partnerships and expanding international revenue.

Salary: £60,000 Base + £100,000+ OTE
The Opportunity
This is a growth-focused commercial position with real autonomy.
You will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across the UK, Europe and international markets, with a particular emphasis on thermal management applications.
The business has strong global credibility and established manufacturing capability the objective now is structured commercial expansion and deeper penetration into emerging sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and win new business across automotive (including EV), electronics, IT infrastructure, medical, defence and industrial sectors
Develop and execute sales strategies across UK, European and international markets
Build long-term commercial partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and technical decision-makers
Conduct market analysis, forecasting and structured pipeline management
Collaborate closely with R&D and production teams to align customer requirements with technical capability
Represent the business at trade shows, industry events and client meetings
Provide regular commercial reporting and insights to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
Proven B2B sales track record within technical manufacturing or advanced materials
Experience selling into automotive, EV, electronics, engineered materials or similar sectors
Ability to operate autonomously and drive structured commercial growth
Strong relationship-building and negotiation capability
Experience working across UK and European markets
Comfortable working directly with leadership in an SME environment
Experience within thermal management solutions would be advantageous, but candidates from adjacent advanced materials sectors will also be considered.
