Highly Specialist Clinical - Child Psychotherapist

The post holder will have a passion for working with children, young people and families in innovative ways and have experience of taking on a senior role or be interested in developing this.
South Camden Community Team (SCCT) supports the emotional well‑being needs of young people (0-18 years) with assessment and evidence‑based therapeutic clinical work. It is a rich multi‑disciplinary team, made up of a range of clinical disciplines to include: Child Psychotherapy, Clinical/Counselling Psychology, CBT Therapy, Family Therapy and Psychiatry. The team works closely with Camden schools, the local authority and the voluntary sector. SCCT is a warm, friendly and diverse team whose ethos of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working supports us in responding to the complexity and diversity that children, young adults and their families from Camden present us with.
The Child Psychotherapy Discipline is highly respected and well established, known for the high quality interventions they offer to the diverse population of Camden, including the long‑standing tradition of Under‑Fives work with infants, children and their families.

Person Specification
Qualifications/ Registrations
* Degree level as a minimum plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree/ Masters level
* Registration with HCPC or relevant body as a Clinical Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Social Worker, Nurse or Systemic Therapist. For Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, Registration with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) is required.
* Additional training in specific therapeutic modalities Parent Infant Psychotherapy
Skills/ Abilities
* High level of skill and knowledge in safeguarding and risk management
* Personal duty of care in relation to equipment or resources
* Basic keyboard skills for updating client records
* Ability to manage own clinical case load
* Competent and confident in using IT systems, e.g. electronic patient record
* Ability to assess, formulate, plan and deliver evidence‑based care to young people and families.
* Experience of using Goal Based Measures and other ROMs
Experience/ Knowledge
* A comprehensive understanding of the changing NHS and Social Care environment and the challenges they face
* Expertise of managing and treating the client group Some experience of clinical supervision
* Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders
* Willingness to contribute to strategic and business planning
* Skills for assessing and communicating complex client conditions and applying appropriate clinical treatments
* Some experience of project work (e.g. Quality improvement)
* Some experience of clinical management of staff
