Applications are invited for a Band 8a Clinical Scientist position within the Radiotherapy Physics Service at the NI Cancer Centre, Belfast. The post holder will take a leading role in the provision of scientific support and development of on-treatment imaging in Radiotherapy. The successful candidate will act as a Medical Physics Expert to provide highly specialist scientific and technical advice on the safe and effective delivery of external beam radiotherapy treatments.
The Centre is equipped with ten TrueBeam linear accelerators, has comprehensive imaging facilities and undertakes a wide range of advanced and specialist treatment techniques. The department is research active with close links to Queen’s University, Belfast including having post-doc physics positions and supervision of PhD and undergraduate student projects.
Applicants must be a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist, hold a certificate of competence to be a MPE or achieve registrations within months of appointment. Experience and expertise commensurate with the level of the post is required.
